As Philadelphia welcomes the #NFLdraft this weekend on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and the annual Penn Relays at the University of Pennsylvania, I’m inspired by how art intersects with the sports industry at all levels. From logos and branding, to uniform design and fan gear, to the gigantic NFL Draft stage that sits on the iconic art museum steps, arts professionals are part of so much of these athletic events.
Check out a few sports related artworks located at the PMA and other locations online.
